OUR TOWN

As you can see Darlaston is in England, just above Birmingham and is in the West Midlands. Darlaston is part of the borough of Walsall.

Darlaston is a fairly small town and it is not a very exciting place to live. There was once a lot of factories in Darlaston but now there are a few. There are a few shops in Darlaston but the nearest shopping centre that we could go to is in Walsall. In Walsall you can get lots of pubs, stationery shops, music shops and lots of clothes shops, such as: Topshop, New look, Debenams, Burtons, Marks and Spencer’s, Wallis etc.

Different people work at different places, some people work at big factories where they make tissues, spoons and other different things. A lot of other people work at warehouses, shops, supermarkets and clothes shops. The wages that the people are supposed to get is £3.60 an hour.

There is not that much to do in Darlaston, there is going to be some new developments in Darlaston. They are building a new swimming pool for all sorts people, Adults, teenagers, Children and younger toddlers. It will be a difference to the people who can not swim. They have also built two new places where you can buy cars, one is called HYUNDAI and the second one they have built but they haven’t opened it yet, another thing they have built is the Blakemore Service I think it is when you buy sweets and magazines for your shop but they haven’t opened the store yet either.
