Houses

 

There are different kinds of houses in Darlaston such as: Flats, Bungalows, and Semi-detached, Detached, and Terraced houses.

 

 

Flats

Flats are often high-rise buildings that many people live in. They are tall long buildings with windows in a row. In some flats people have balconies outside their windows.

                

 

Semi-detached

Semi-detached houses are two houses joined together. They are quite big and wide. Most of the people in Darlaston have Semi-detached houses.

         

 

Detached

A detached house is a single house on its own. It is quite big, probably the same size as a Semi-Detached house.
 
 

 

Bungalows

A Bungalow is a single house on it’s own. It is small and wide but does not have an upstairs section. There isn’t that many people living in bungalows in Darlaston.

 

 

Terraced

Terraced houses are lots of houses stuck together. They are tall and thin and very squashed up.

We have lots of shops in Darlaston for example:

Many shops are different sizes for example:-big, small, tall, wide etc.

 

           

 

We also have big supermarkets such as: Asda, Sainsburys, Tescos, Kwik Save, Iceland, Somerfield, Morrisons, Aldi and Netto etc. in nearby towns such as Walsall and Willenhall.

 

In Darlaston there are some very large stores such as Ikea and Carland.
