In the past Shortheath park had a musical theme because there was a bandstand and people would go there to listen to bands play. It was very popular, but it was taken down in 2006, and now there is just a rosebed in it’s place. The colour picture below shows the same pathway today.
I think that the park today is not as tidy as it used to be, and I think that it needs something to entertain people, especially young kids, who like swings, slides and some climbing frames to play on. On the grass people could do with rounder's courts so people will think more of the park and go there more often.
