I
am doing about a Gypsy Queen and her name was Louisa Price. She moved into Bloxwich after
the war. Her husband died in 1940 when he was 89. They had a caravan which was burned when
her husband died complying with Gypsy tradition, but Mrs Price had requested that her own
caravan should be kept by her three surviving sons. The Queen died when she was 113
and that was in 1970. She lived in Fishley
Lane but she was born in Hampton Load in Shropshire. She died in the Manor Hospital of
pneumonia. It was her wish to be buried at Gloucester with her Husband.
