Our Environment

Bloxwich is quite a nice place to live. There are a few parks where children can play and people can walk their dogs or ride their bicycles. It isn't too far to go to some of the big open spaces where you can see nature and wildlife at it's best - like Cannock Chase or Rough Wood.
The environment does suffer from pollution - the traffic is quite heavy in Bloxwich town centre and there are many busy roads throughout Bloxwich. The pollution from traffic can cause asthma and other type of breathing problems.
Pollution can also be found along the canals in Bloxwich - people leave rubbish, old bikes even shopping trolleys and this not only pollutes the water but can cause damage to fish and other wildlife along the canal banks.
Our environment can also be damaged by litter and this is quite a problem throughout Walsall.
If our environment is to suffer less damage in the future people could:-
Use public transport to cut down on car pollution
Not drop litter
Not leave rubbish along the canals but take it to a proper waste tip (there's one in Bloxwich)
Walk or ride your bicycle instead of using the car - this would save money on petrol and help you get fit!
We are very lucky in Bloxwich and we should appreciate our environment and protect it from further damage.
