The New Art Gallery in Walsall

The New Art Gallery opened in February 2000 and the Queen came to visit Walsall to officially open it. It is a big building by the side of the Canal and it gets lot of visitors. Sometimes schools take pupils to visit the gallery and there are lots of good things to for children to do.

There is a gallery especially for children called the Children's Discovery Gallery and during school holidays there are lots of activities to do at the gallery.

The gallery has a very famous art collection called the Garman Ryan collection which includes art by Picasso, Van Gogh and Jacob Epstein.
