In the past people used to use trams and there used to be candle lit street lamps, and in the past there use to be a railway and a station. In 1988 two trains crashed in a terrible fog and killed two people.

used to be used often because people used to think they were safer. The trams used to be like a rectangle but
with a curve on top and with overhead wires .It was quite dangerous because the trams used
to go very close to the cars.
SAINT LAWRENCE CHURCH
Saint Lawrence church is a church in Darlaston. In the past as well they use to be coal mines because the barges use to run all day up the canal the barges use to be a popular job and the mines were too.
ALL SAINTS CHURCH The All Saints Church was built in 1872 and lasted until 1942 when it was bombed in the Second World War. Now the Church has been re-built in a more modern style. THE BULL STAKEThe Bull Stake was at the junction and had many tram routs so it was very dangerous to cross the roads. The trams ran to Walsall, Wednesbury and Bilston and many other places
. The Bull Stake was a very busy junction but still very popular with the people and with buses in too.BRASS BANDS
Brass bands were very popular, they involved people of all ages (mostly older men) the brass bands were mostly made up of men. The band instruments were brass and some are listed
below here is a list of some instruments: Drum, Trumpet, Horn and a Trombone. The band wore uniforms and there was also a bandleader. The band was called RUBERY OWEN company
